Movie Set in the Paria River Valley
In 1870 the town of Pahreah was established in the Paria River Valley. The site looked ideal, but in 1883 massive flooding occurred that caused the people to abandon the town.
During the 1950s through the 1970s the site was used as a backdrop for a number of movies, the last of which was "The Outlaw Josey Wales".
The original movie set was dismantled and moved to Kanab. This set was built in 2000-2002
